Bikini Blues
SOME people walk around in their clothes until they quite literally fall off in rags, but we are expected to believe that covering the partially exposed buttocks of the Norwegian volleyball team is a form of liberation. Their costumes were pretty skimpy, to say the least, but judging by the celebratory reaction in the left-wing press you would think Scandinavia had just been turned into an Amazonian paradise.
In reality, the usual brigade of scowling iconoclasts derives great pleasure from shrouding femininity in the comparative drabness of the sexually indeterminate. I am not attacking the women themselves, who should be free to wear shorts if they so desire, but simply the way in which this trivial non-story has been politicised.
Usury still dominates the earth, but misandrist girls just want to have fun.
