Forgotten Heroes
ANOTHER day, another name
Upon the public breath;
Obituary's much the same,
The common cause is 'death'.
When famous faces bite the dust,
Embrace fatality,
Into the grave they surely thrust
Their immortality.
But few recall the unsung guide,
The hero without sin;
Who fights both fire and rising tide
To save your lucky skin.
The hands that rock the cradle
And the power behind the throne,
Leave food upon the table
Yet too often die alone.

Like the poetry, but me old fashioned libertarian - no more heroes - we all have to be heroes
I agree, yes. This is directed at the people that keep wittering on about dead celebrities, more than anything else. Especially when they claim to be 'shocked' that someone well past pensionable age has passed away.
