Leftist Conformism
SEVERAL years ago I watched footage of an anti-lockdown protest in London and the first thing that struck me was the appearance of the protestors. Most were what you might describe as "norms," ordinary people who have simply had enough of being told what to do by the Establishment and who are intelligent enough to realise that what is happening in the world today is serving a particular agenda.
Many were middle-aged and what you might describe as "old-school," having lived through a period when disregarding the authoritarian directives of corrupt politicians and their police lackeys was a way to retain one's dignity. However, the main thing I noticed was the complete invisibility of the British Left. They were nowhere to be seen. Conspicuous by their absence. Playing truant from the School of Dissent when they might as well have been stabbing real dissidents in the back.
Then I began to ask myself why the Left was not supporting these events. Why they were staying at home or wearing their designer masks in the streets like rotten conformists. It's pretty obvious, really. The professional gatekeepers who keep these rabid automatons on a tight leash have convinced them that it is in their interests to ensure that every protest of this kind - however large - is presented as a fringe gathering of Right-wing conspiracy theorists.
Quite honestly, the average leftist of today is not fit to clean the boots of the Radicals, Unionists, Chartists, Suffragettes, Tolpuddle Martyrs and Luddites who struggled for freedom in the past. Hang your heads in shame, you cowards!
