Parque da Cidade do Porto

I HOPE these photographs with provide you with a flavour of the natural beauty, peace and serenity of what, at eighty-three hectares, remains the largest urban park in Portugal. I really enjoyed my last visit there and what with the beautiful sunshine, croaking frogs (who absolutely refused to be photographed) and honking geese, the last remnants of late Summer - just before the unrelenting August rain - were still apparent. I also tried to capture the green minutiae that was growing beside the roots of trees, poking its way through the grass or simply helping to create the magic and serenity that lurks in the woodland shade.
