Primitive, Yet Progressive
IT was interesting to see reports concerning the discovery of bone fragments belonging to a female who apparently had a Neanderthal mother and a Denisovan father, but some of these modern academics do, retrospectively, tend to add their own ideological angles to things. Indeed, despite them constructing a scenario in which we are expected to believe that two tribes in proto-Siberia lived in perfect harmony, perhaps this ethnic mix is simply the result of a Neanderthal being brutally raped by a migrating Denisovan?
In fact I am now waiting for a media announcement about one of these 'experts' having popped back several millennia in a time-machine to observe a unique snapshot of life in Neanderthal-Denisovan suburbia, complete with mother giving father a peck on the cheek before he goes off to the hunt and a brood of teenage hybrids wearing large stone spectacles and complaining about Denisovan privilege. Saying that, my own theory sounds remarkably proto-feminist in that I still believe we are dealing with a case of #NeanderthalToo
