There is no separation between the realms

Of Matter and Spirit; God is said to rule over

The sensible realm, and yet upon the earth one

Finds a proliferation of that which is nonsensible.

Minds do not, as Descartes insists, interact

With Matter. Objectified Spirit interacts with itself

And thus proceeds towards the Absolute. The

Christian asks us to purify our hearts, and yet

How can that which is ascribed no value, reduced

To mere biology, act in accordance with divine

Spirit? The answer is simple: Human spirit teems

With organic potential and, like all spirit, finds

Expression in every tree, every flower and every

Last drop of water. Spirit grounded in Nature.
