Words Compounded
IT occurred to me, during a sudden flash of tedium, that by amalgamating the words 'sedentary' and 'pedestrian' you describe a state of existence in which one combines inactivity with sluggishness.
If there was ever such a thing as a 'sedestrian' crossing, however, people would be falling asleep halfway across the road. It wouldn't look good on the front of a Beatles album, either, even if John Lennon did spend his life in bed.
